Sensitive....yeh!

This painting was done the last day of class. We were told to do something that was, "You, beautiful and sensitive" Ok, paint water...that is what I love...but I'll make it a bit more interesting this time. This one is almost done.... I haven't figured out a title yet....maybe just sensitive. My paintings are normally so organic I needed to add some tension.....do you know what that is?

All About Pure Color !!

Front of Me was a study in the use of intense colors. It has a couple of perspective problems that I'll work on...but want to keep it loose. Mostly 90% instense colors.

Waterloo Spring Exhibit Award

I had a great surprise when we visited the Waterloo Watercolor Spring Show in Austin. Juried by the talented and experienced painter, Skip Lawrence, there was a Second place ribbon hanging on my painting Picket Fences.

Boy, what an opportunity!

I just finished a 4 day workshop with Skip Lawrence. I've attended many workshops over the years...this was by far the best and the most fun. It's great to learn tons and do it while laughing. He told me I was a good painter and he was stingy with that type of comment. It made me want to come home and redo everything. I'll be uploading the paintings done during class in the next few days.
