36th Annual WFWS Exhibit

I just received notice that my w/c Ascent  has been selected for the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies 36th Exhibition.  It will be held this year in Albuquerque, sponsored by the New Mexico Watercolor Society.   Wow!

Sounds of September redo

I'm working on a series "Sounds of  Fall or Autumn"   haven't decided which to use.   Growing up in Oregon, September was a warm dry month, one of the few dry months in the Willamette Valley, and my Mom was into to canning and the trees were starting to turn with brown edges showing.......but mostly I remember it was warm and dry.    This is hopefully the final redo.    I needed to work on some of my shapes and edges.

New w/c finished.........

Toucot Done

This acrylic on w/c paper is finally finished.  I worked on it for three days adjusting shapes, colors and line.   My birds take on lives of their own and this fellow reminded me of a Toucan and a Parrot....thus the title.

The Sounds of Autumn

Starting a new series for the show Nan and I are having at North Hills Gallery in September 11.  I finally came up with a title for the series.   The Sounds of Autumn...    This one may or may not be finished.   Title coming!
