It's time to start working on water pictures.........................when it gets hot... it works. Left 36x36 Acrylic on canvas and on the right, more flying fun fish titled, "Recess"
More great art coming from new class that begins Monday, April 26th. I can't wait... For those who want to view art from former class at Sun City, the pictures will remain permanently on my facebook page. Look up. Sue Gray.
Trying to create more interesting shapes. I carefully draw the shapes in a good sound composition and then I start niggling and overpaint them and have to start removing colors and patterns and little shapes. Thank heavens for the new American Journey watercolors. I really like working with these paints. They give me the same effects as acrylics but without the permanence. When working with design it is great to be able to make changes along the way. The process is what I love.
Wow, what an amazing group of students in the class we just finished in Sun City. I have a new class starting April 26 at Framers Gallery and it's full but will try to have another right after this one. Left Jill Strong and right Evelyn Kunetka. Evelyn's picture from the week we worked on abstract florals and Jill is working on an abstract water scene. Such Fun!
Visit my friend Nan's blog........she will be showing at Franklin's in Georgetown for the next two months....just in time for everyone to enjoy her amazing poppies. www.nancybrandtbrown.blogspot.com
The newly formed Round Rock Arts Council is currently displaying their second annual "Imagine" fine art show at the Texas State University main building here in Round Rock. There must have been 250 people at the opening last Friday. I have never seen a better or classier opening reception. I have two of my large paintings, Garden Mosiac 36x36 left and Showing Off 36x36 in this juried exhibit that will run through the end of May.
