Imagne 2011

I have two paintings in the Imagine 2011 Exhibit showing thru May at the Texas State University Facility in Roun Rock.   The event is sponsored by RRAAC the Round Rock Area Arts Council.   Lauren and I volunteered and are standing in front of Grampa's Farm at Twilight.  Rae was also there with her camera two flights up.....

BEACH FINDS

This 40x30 Acrylic on canvas started out as demos for two separate art classes.   First, for my class at Sun City,  it was a study in line with added items here and there.   Then I took it to our Critique/Demo class and used it as a base for an abstract figure demo.   What fun!   It reminds me of  hours and hours of  hiking on the Oregon beaches looking for treasures.

Amazing Blogs

My friend Pat Langley has become a serious "blogger" and is constantly posting interesting tidbits.  She has started making some beautiful jewelry out of old "found" things, watch parts and other whimsical items.  They are awesome.   Link to her blog at Pat Langley
